About the Class:
Seeing is Believing is a salon-style course for the curious observer. Through charcoal drawing, curated readings, and guided conversation, participants explore deep observation as a path to perceiving more authentically—on paper and in life. Modeled after the pedagogical spirit of Black Mountain College, each session invites you to slow down, see intently, and connect with others in a reflective, creative atmosphere.
Pricing & Registration:

Single Session: $90 + $20 materials fee (collected at class)

All Three Sessions: $300 (materials fee included)
Register for one, two, or all three independent salon sessions. Directed readings are provided in advance.
Materials:
Basic drawing supplies (charcoal, pencils, erasers, drawing boards) are provided. Students bring an 11″ x 14″ sketchpad.
Instructor Bio:
Shelley Horton-Trippe is an acclaimed interdisciplinary artist and educator with over 40 years of teaching experience and numerous NEA grants, exhibitions, and international residencies to her credit.
Exhibition:
All participants are invited to a group exhibition and reception on March 7 at 4:00 PM.
