CHARLES ROSS: MANSIONS OF THE ZODIAC

nspired by sunlight, starlight, time, and planetary motion, Charles Ross: Mansions of the Zodiac highlights key moments from Ross’s seven-decade career, including never-before-seen works. A leading figure in the land art movement, Ross uses large-scale prisms to focus sunlight, creating striking solar burn works. He has also drawn the quantum behavior of light with dynamite and explored photography and video.
Ross is currently nearing completion of Star Axis, a monumental architectonic sculpture and naked-eye observatory on New Mexico’s eastern plains, scheduled to open in 2026.
