About the Workshop:

Oil painting on a slick translucent surface? Yes please. Yupo is a smooth, slick, waterproof, paper‑like surface. Unlike traditional painting surfaces, paint slips and slides across Yupo—leading to bold brushwork, fluid imagery, and a uniquely fun painting experience.

Bring a reference photo of an image you’d like to paint (figure, animal, still life, landscape—anything goes). We’ll follow a simple three‑step process to explore the beautiful potential of this unique medium.

No painting experience necessary. Experienced painters and brand‑new beginners will leave the workshop with a completed painting, fresh ideas, and a clear understanding of the unique properties of pairing oil and Yupo.
