One of the world’s most distinguished string quartets, Cuarteto Casals, brings its renowned warmth and precision to Santa Fe. The program spans from classicism to the contemporary, opening with the charm and wit of Haydn’s Quartet in D Major, Op. 76, No. 5. It then premieres Elisenda Fábregas’s powerful Fiery Earth before culminating in the sublime lyricism and emotional depth of Schubert’s final string quartet, the Quartet in G Major, Op. 161.
