Led from the violin by Colin Jacobsen, the Santa Fe Pro Musica Orchestra presents “Bach and Beyond.” This program traverses musical eras, connecting Baroque elegance with modern minimalism and 20th-century charm. The journey includes Arvo Pärt’s serene and profound Passacaglia, Summa, and Cantus; curated selections from J.S. Bach; Benjamin Britten’s playful Simple Symphony; and culminates with Bach’s joyous Violin Concerto in E Major, featuring leader Jacobsen as soloist.
